Position Summary

Join Sonoco in Lübeck as a Programmierer Automatisierung (m/w/d), a key role in our automation team. This full-time, permanent position offers significant responsibility, project ownership, and collaboration across Technical Engineering and Central Automation teams. Ideal for experienced automation programmers seeking to optimize production in a dynamic, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize control engineering systems
• Integrate plants into superior systems and structures
• Program SPS (Siemens) and robots (Kuka, ABB)
• Develop automation and machine safety concepts
• Create, produce, and document electrical schematics
• Commission and hand over systems
• Optimize production processes and equipment
• Support fault diagnosis for the control technology team
• Collaborate with on-site and central automation teams

Required Qualifications

• Completed technical vocational training plus master's or technician qualification
• Proven experience implementing and maintaining automated, cross-functional systems
• Proficiency in CAD, network technology, and bus systems
• Technical and functional experience with ERP, SCADA, MES systems
• Independent work style, responsibility, communication, and team skills
• Analytical mindset and creativity
• Very good German and good English proficiency
