Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer (A for experienced or B for junior) to join our engineering department on-site in Berkel en Rodenrijs. Working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, this role (temporary to permanent) involves leading new projects, optimizing equipment and processes, and driving technical innovations. Collaborate across departments in a safety-focused, innovative setting within the plastics packaging sector.
Key Responsibilities
As Project Engineer, you will:
- Design and optimize injection molded products per customer specs.
- Handle product and mold calculations, new molds, trials, mods, and repairs.
- Lead automation initiatives and process improvements.
- Research new technologies and materials.
- Create specifications with production and QA/QC teams.
- Maintain ISO-compliant documentation and QSR 21 CFR 820 reporting.
- Partner with the Plant Manager on key decisions.
- Ensure workplace safety, quality, and organization.
Required Qualifications
Ideal candidates have:
- MBO+ or HBO in engineering/chemistry or related field.
- Experience in product engineering (or eagerness to learn for juniors).
- Fluency in Dutch and English; German a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Analytical mindset, strong communication, and team/independent work ability.
- Injection molding knowledge preferred.
