Tremend is looking for an AI Engineer (GenAI, Data Science) to build and optimize the platform for a Generative AI assistant (complex RAG system with several data sources and tool calling). The ideal candidate is experienced in Python and ML libraries, building LLM systems, and using Azure services.

Responsibilities:

• Understand business problems, limitations of current technologies, and opportunities for AI applications 
• Identify suitable AI or cognitive technologies and design solution approaches 
• Develop machine learning models or prototypes and validate problem-solution fit 
• Set up and maintain AI development (test, production) infrastructure 
• Guide product managers and stakeholders on AI capabilities and constraints during product planning 
• Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to enable smooth AI integration 
• Build and manage data ingestion and transformation pipelines 
• Discover new training datasets and apply transfer learning where applicable 
• Build and deploy AI models, and communicate results effectively to stakeholders 
• Develop APIs to operationalize AI model outputs for business use 
• Recommend AI enhancements to improve existing products.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years programming experience working on AI/ML products & models 
• Solid programming language skills in Python 
• Very strong algorithmic thinking 
• Knowledge of machine learning related tools and frameworks for data management, visualization, implementation and performance evaluation, such as scikit-learn, numpy, pandas, etc. 
• Experience in building LLM/RAG systems
• Solid understanding of RAG systems and approaches, NLP, data science process, statistical modeling, machine learning, deep learning  
• Strong hands-on experience with developing RESTful APIs, preferably using FastAPI 
• Cloud development (Docker, Kubernetes) and using Cloud specific AI technologies
• Database experience
• Experience with versioning tools
• Demonstrated ability to deliver working solutions on a given schedule.

Set yourself apart with: 

• Experience in Azure Cloud deployment, Azure AI Evaluation tools 
• Experience building AI models in frameworks such as Keras or TensorFlow
• Working with Unix or unix-like operating systems 
• Using quantitative methods in business setting background is a plus.
