Who are we looking for?
As Group Account Director your role is to provide our clients with the best possible service, maximise client happiness, monitor and maximise profitability and manage and direct workflow through the team. Alongside the GM of Media Technology, you will help to drive efficiency throughout the business while consistently identifying additional revenue streams across all channels for the benefit of our clients
This requires significant responsibility from you, a key custodian of Atomic 212° and internally the representative of our client’s business priorities and expectations. You are expected to be an expert across communications strategy and planning and will understand and facilitate best practice implementation delivery so that you are able to guide and direct the team on behalf of Atomic 212°. You also need to be adept at data and performance as this is required by the majority of our clients
What will your day to day look like?
• Builds, maintains and fosters senior level client relationships, internal stakeholders and partners
• Builds, manages and mentors direct reports to ensure team effectiveness, efficiency and development, including interviewing and on-boarding new team members.
• Drives an agenda of inter-agency collaboration to achieve clients’ results, ensuring updates and insights are shared amongst all internal stakeholders
• Delivers strategic cross channel communication recommendations in response to a clear client brief which includes Identifying and analysing the macro environment, audience & channel data to formulate media strategy and then delivering this communication framework to meet the budget
• Strong offline & planning experience, but with strong digital/performance understanding
• Leads team brainstorming sessions to generate big ideas to drive the rightful innovation defined by client.
• Motivates and engages with the team to retain our talent
• Publicly recognises performance against Smarter Faster Accountable and our Values

• Ensures forecasts are accurate and communicated to Finance in a timely manner
• Prepares month-end overviews of client’s current activities, monthly revenue forecasts/profitability, plus plans for future development of accounts and updates forecasts with any changes as a priority.
• Leads, inspires and motivates the team to deliver to our client objectives and have fun while doing so
• Coaches and mentors team members to build their skills and competencies (with support of our development and training platform using Go1 #LEARNGROWSHAREINSPIRE and on the job training
• Ensures delivery to clients is of the highest order
• Leads and manages outputs of other teams ensuring deliverables are aligned to brief and KPIs
• Leads and manages internal WIPs and tracks progress of projects
• Is strong in strategic thinking. Understanding how to move from problem to solution using informed insights based on data
• Provides clients with regular updates in regards to the media landscape overviews, trend analysis and developments while always ensuring a unique and personal point of view
• Leads the wider agency team through knowledge sharing and inspiration based on your area of expertise and talent
What will set you up for success?
• Currently in a similar or senior role in an agency is preference.
• Holistic Media Planning background (traditional, digital and content/creative).
• Advanced knowledge of all media research, planning and buying tools required for media planning and ability to analyse the output and identify insights that influence our recommendation.
• Exceptional negotiation skills to maximise value delivered for clients
• Strong relationship management skills – client, team and media
• Inspiring, passionate and a great communicator
• Excellent knowledge of the media landscape and the impact of changes to media consumption trends
• Demonstrates financial and numerical astuteness, with attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Analytical and critical thinking.
