Job Description


Overview

Reporting to the Group Account Director, Research & Insights, the Manager will be responsible for working closely with the strategy, planning and buying teams as well as managing their direct reports (Specialist and Coordinator).  They will use a mix of syndicated and proprietary research tools and data in order to optimize our clients’ media mix while informing our plans with consumer, category and industry trends.  This is an opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team where insights are at the core of the business.

 

The successful candidate will have superior analytical skills and attention to detail but must also be able to solve business issues using data, creativity, and human insight. Working collaboratively and building relationships with various key stakeholders, within both Publicis and the broader industry, is a key part of this role.


Responsibilities

  • Lead access to resources and training for the agency’s planning and investment teams
  • Present competitive and research findings for the clients
  • Develop and drive data processes using Power BI and Excel templates
  • Be the main point of contact for PM proprietary agency tools and data requests
  • Be a trusted point of contact for industry organizations, committees and research vendors
  • Work with specialist teams within Publicis Media to enrich and enhance productivity
  • Assist GAD to lead and driving MMM projects for PM clients
  • Take part in preparations for new business pitches
  • Assisting GAD, and Experience planning team in developing whitepapers and thought leadership pieces for the organization/clients.
  • Act as a lead, manage and provide guidance to the team

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement: 6+ years of research and/or media experience (preferably at an agency or media owner), University or College degree
  • Familiar with syndicated media databases (i.e. Vividata, Numeris, comScore, COMMB)
  • Exceptional analytical and mathematical abilities
  • Experienced with media planning terminology and principles
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Previous experience having direct reports, developing career paths, performance management
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Solid presentation and training skills, with experience presenting to senior leaders
  • Advanced knowledge of primary/custom research methodologies, surveys, panel data
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, flexible and can adjust deadlines without sacrificing quality

Salary 
Transparency matters to us. The salary range for this position is $75000-$85000 CDN per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and applicable certifications. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on current market data.
