Job Description

Company description

Starcom (1)

As part of Publicis Groupe, Starcom blends creativity, data, and deep expertise to craft media experiences that move people — and in turn, move business. Leveraging unique data assets, unparalleled media relationships, and the buying scale of the Groupe, we turn insight into impact.

Today’s media landscape is faster, noisier, and more fragmented than ever. People are constantly scrolling, streaming, and switching — and despite more ways to connect, many brands feel further away from their audiences. Short-term thinking dominates. Quick wins overshadow long-term momentum.

At Starcom, we see it differently. Change isn’t a threat — it’s an opening. Our mission has always been the same: know people deeply, then connect with them meaningfully. We unlock opportunities across paid, owned, shared, and earned media to keep brands relevant and resonant.

We help clients navigate what’s next — not by chasing every shiny object, but by knowing which ones matter. Our media thinking is fuelled by human insight, built for the context of each channel, and optimised for the outcomes that count.

Because when you move people, you move business. For today. For tomorrow. For good.

Overview

Who are we looking for?

We’re on the hunt for a data-driven and client service-oriented Performance Manager to join our team of media specialists. This is more than a Performance Manager role - it’s an opportunity to take ownership of a brand-new patch and shape how performance media is delivered for some of the world’s most iconic fragrance brands.

You’ll have the freedom to design ways of working that best fit you and your clients, creating processes that drive efficiency and impact. You’ll be the trusted day-to-day contact across your patch of well-known/luxury fragrance brands - managing campaigns across social, online video, display, and eCommerce while building strong relationships with brand managers.

This role blends hands-on activation with client partnership, giving you visibility from planning through to execution and reporting. You’ll collaborate with strategy, account teams, and digital teams to deliver integrated solutions that make a real difference to client outcomes.

You’re not stepping into a rigid structure - you’re helping to build it. You’ll work with a team that’s open to testing new ideas, from exploring TikTok partnerships to trialling emerging formats, while leveraging Starcom’s best-in-class tools and data for smarter planning.

If you’re a Senior Performance Executive ready to step up or a Performance Manager looking for bigger challenges, we’d love to hear from you.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Take ownership of digital performance activity across your client portfolio, ensuring campaigns deliver against agreed objectives.
  • Lead client conversations on performance strategy, technology opportunities, and partnerships, acting as a trusted and reliable advisor to your clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
  • Oversee the setup, execution, and optimisation of campaigns across social, online video (YouTube), and eCommerce (Criteo) channels.
  • Collaborate with global offshore teams to assist with quality control, delivery, and global governance.
  • Monitor budgets, pacing, and KPIs to ensure performance targets are met or exceeded.
  • Analyse campaign data to identify trends and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare and present clear, compelling performance reports and insights during monthly and quarterly reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—strategy, creative, data, and client teams to deliver integrated media solutions.
  • Contribute to planning discussions and test-and-learn initiatives to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

What you're looking for

  • An encouraging, positive, and collaborative culture.
  • Greater exposure across a wide spread of channels, developing a unique and holistic skillset, across an exciting patch of clients that continue to push boundaries when connecting with audiences.
  • To fulfil your growth and career development ambitions in a business large enough to accommodate them.

What will set you up for success?

  • 3+ years’ experience in performance media, with strong hands-on expertise in social, online video, and/or eCommerce platforms (desirable). Media agency experience will be highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in self-service platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, DV360, The Trade Desk, and Criteo.
  • Solid understanding of biddable media strategies, optimisation techniques, and reporting.
  • Good commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, pacing, and forecasting.
  • Excellent client-facing skills – you build trust, manage expectations, and communicate clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, think creatively, and collaborate across teams.
  • A proactive, solutions-first mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to think ahead to anticipate challenges.
  • Exposure to advanced measurement setups (CRM integrations, GA4), automation tools, or AI-driven optimisation (highly regarded).
