Saatchi & Saatchi Canada is excited to announce a new opening for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join an innovative, forward-thinking AI initiative. This role is available as full-time or freelance, with immediate start options.

You’ll bring 6+ years of experience building end-to-end applications using modern, cloud-native technologies, and a passion for crafting accessible, inclusive solutions that serve users of all abilities.

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications on cloud platforms with multi-cloud extensibility in mind. 
• Build robust RESTful APIs and microservices using Java-based backend technologies. 

• Develop responsive, accessible front-end interfaces using React or similar modern frameworks. 

• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate intelligent features and automation capabilities. 

• Ensure WCAG 2.1 AA compliance and implement inclusive design patterns across all user-facing components. 

• Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and agile ceremonies. 

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies. 

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including UX designers, data engineers, and DevOps specialists. 

• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in full stack development. 
• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, Spring Framework) for backend development. 

• Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks. 

• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with willingness to deepen expertise. 

• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture. 

• Experience with containerization (Docker) and familiarity with container orchestration concepts. 

• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar). 

• Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design principles. 

• Experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows. 

• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools. 

• Fully remote position; candidates must already be based in Canada and have legal work authorization in the country.

• Transparency matters to us. The salary range for this position is $90.000-$140.000 per year. Actual compensation within  this range will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and applicable certifications. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on current market data.
