Having knowledge in Linux kernel is an added advantage.Candidate will be working closely with cross-functional teams - hardware, software, and product/test engineering etc. - in design and improvements of storage hardware modules and software stack.Responsibilities:Development of software stack for storage technologies and filesystems on Qualcomm multiprocessor platformsWork with internal and external teams to design and implement new features.Work closely with low-level device drivers’ software folks for storage devicesSupport the team with failure triage, system debug, clear email communication, and customer supportMinimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's (or) Master’s degree in ECE, CSE, EEE1-3 years of experience with embedded systemsPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:Strong knowledge on designing and development of a Linux kernel driversEmbedded device driver development for ARM processorsGood embedded C programmingGood Debugging skillsFlexibility to work across different technologies and teamsGood analytical and problem-solving skillsGood understanding of basic real-time/embedded programming concepts & real time operating systems conceptsKnowledge and experience in RTOSExcellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skillsFamiliarity with parallel-processing concepts such as threads, signals, priorities, semaphores, mutexes, race-conditions, deadlocks, etc.1-3 years of experience with embedded systemsMust be proficient in C / C++ / PythonGood understanding of microprocessor, multiprocessor architecture.Applicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
