Focus areas for this role are Electronics Hardware systems / Digital / Power Management design support. This role would suit someone with an electronics Hardware background that has an enquiring mind and tenacious problem-solving abilities. This is a customer facing design support role and the applicant should have good understanding of applications processor-based systems design. Qualcomm offers a huge range of support and trainingMinimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. ORMaster's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience. ORPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.Responsibilities (training will be given to achieve the following):Provide Hardware design support to customers developing connected products.Research and answer a wide range of in-depth technical questions on Qualcomm chipsets.Resolve technical problems with the application of products via hands-on trouble shooting.Perform block diagram, schematic, placement and PCB design reviews on customer products, including DDR and Power Delivery simulation.Provide on-site customer technical support for system wake up and critical integration & test development phases.Aid customers to implement new technology using Qualcomm chipsets.Create documentation to inform customers on Qualcomm products.Travel to customer sites throughout Europe is a requirement but the frequency is generally not high. There may be some limited global travel.Provide upfront support to the business teams for new projects and kick off workshops.Experience:Preferably hardware product development or support engineering background with around 2 to 8 years’ experience (Engineer / Snr Engineer level).Knowledge of engineering processes and tools.Experience in design of hardware systems and circuits.Experience in analog/digital design in some of the following areas: CPU/DSP, Memory, Peripherals & Interfaces, Audio, PSU, Power Mgmt, Camera, LCD's, SD Card, PCle, USB.This customer-facing role requires good communication / interpersonal / presentation skills as well as an understanding of the importance of confidentiality.Flexible, Self-starting and tenacious with Initiative to resolve complex customer problems.Experience in integration, debug and problem reproduction on target/development systems.Education Requirements Good Degree in Electronics engineering or related discipline.
