The Quality Frontline Manager role at PepsiCo's Tingalpa, Queensland site is pivotal in supporting the Quality Manager to ensure site-wide compliance with quality systems and processes. This position focuses on empowering frontline teams to execute testing and quality procedures flawlessly while coordinating daily laboratory activities. You'll drive operational excellence, meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality and food safety, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced FMCG environment. Maintain and enhance Food Safety and Quality Systems, ensuring adherence to internal PepsiCo standards and external audit frameworks like GFSI. Your expertise will safeguard product integrity from production to packaging.
Coordinate audits, calibrations, reporting, and verification activities to foster continuous improvement. You'll identify opportunities to optimize processes and elevate site performance.
Lead investigations into consumer complaints, performing root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence and maintain brand trust.
Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and fitness-for-purpose of quality and analytical equipment, ensuring reliable microbiological and analytical testing.
Train, coach, and support plant personnel and Laboratory Technicians across all shifts on quality programs, safe work practices, and technical skills.
Lead laboratory teams, allocate resources efficiently, manage performance, and serve as the vital link between frontline operations and senior management.
To succeed as PepsiCo's Quality Frontline Manager in Tingalpa, bring 3+ years of experience in FMCG manufacturing or supply chain, with deep knowledge of snack food processing and packaging. Leadership experience supervising technical or quality teams is essential. You should be skilled in analytical and microbiological testing, including instrument calibration and troubleshooting. Proficiency in food safety standards like HACCP, sanitation, and GFSI-aligned Quality Management Systems is required, alongside expertise in investigating non-conformances, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Technical savvy with SAP, DVC, Excel, project management, and change management is key. A tertiary qualification in food science or a related field is highly desirable.
