Your new role – challenging and future-oriented: Quality professional Electrical and Instrumentation

Role Overview:

• The QA Engineer (E&I) ensures compliance with quality standards for electrical and
• instrumentation systems in WHRB system. This role involves inspection, testing,
• documentation, and adherence to industry codes and customer specifications.

Quality Planning & Documentation

• • Develop and implement QA plans for E&I components in boilers.
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and standards (IEC, IS, ASME,
• BR, as applicable).
  • Prepare Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and Quality Control Procedures.

Inspection & Testing

• • Conduct all inspections of all electrical and instrumentations items like
• electrical panels, instruments, sensors, and wiring.
  • Verify calibration of instruments and compliance with accuracy standards.
  • Witness FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).
  • Visit to Site for Handling of Site Electrical and Instrumentation activities as

required

·       Liaisoning with client/ Third Parties for First, Second or Third Party

Inspections.

Compliance & Standards

• • Ensure adherence to statutory regulations (IBR, IEC, IS standards).
  • Validate electrical safety, grounding, and insulation requirements.
  • Check compliance with control system logic and instrumentation accuracy.

Supplier Quality Management

• • Audit and qualify vendors for E&I components.
  • Review supplier documentation and test certificates.

Problem Resolution & Continuous Improvement

• • Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Support root cause analysis and preventive measures.

Reporting & Documentation

• • Maintain inspection records, calibration logs, quality reports, etc.
  • Prepare QA documentation for client approval and regulatory compliance.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds

• You have a BE Degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering.
• You hold 6–9 years in QA/QC for E&I systems in boiler or heavy equipment manufacturing.

• You have strong knowledge of Electrical systems for boilers (control panels, MCC, PLC, DCS, etc.), Instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow transmitters, control valves, etc.), Standards: IEC, IS, IBR, ASME, API.
• You are well versed in, Quality tools (FMEA, RCA, 8D), have familiarity with ISO 9001 and safety standards and have strong documentation and communication skills.
