Role Overview

As a Quality Technician I at PepsiCo's facility in Feira de Santana, Bahia, Brazil, you will play a vital role in upholding the highest standards of food safety and quality. This full-time position involves executing routine Food Safety pillar activities within defined production volumes, identifying continuous improvement opportunities, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies. Your work directly safeguards product integrity, minimizes losses, and supports PepsiCo's commitment to excellence in the food and beverage sector.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day impact will include:

• Guaranteeing adherence to PepsiCo's Quality and Food Safety policies, as well as Environment, Health, and Safety standards.
• Monitoring process controls to ensure finished products meet quality requirements, retaining non-conforming items, and managing immediate deviation actions.
• Reducing consumer complaints, product retentions, and production losses through proactive Food Safety monitoring and non-conformance tools.
• Verifying Critical Control Points (CCPs) and Prerequisite Programs (PPROs) with swift deviation responses.
• Supporting the Quality Supervisor in Food Safety Team (ESA) meetings and Prerequisite Program verifications.
• Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) by generating control data.
• Safely handling laboratory chemicals and strictly following PPE and safety protocols.
• Expediting the treatment and disposition of retained products to minimize supply chain impacts.

Qualifications & Requirements

We seek motivated individuals with:

• A degree in Food Engineering (production or chemistry focus) or a technical qualification in Food Science or Chemistry.
• Desirable: 1 year of experience in the food industry.
• No specific language proficiency required.
