Role Overview

The R&D EHS Analyst position at PepsiCo's Tech Center in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, is pivotal in upholding our Goal Zero commitment—zero injuries to people and no harm to the environment. This full-time role involves deploying and monitoring EHS strategies, ensuring compliant operations, and building a proactive prevention mindset. You'll partner with leadership, deliver targeted training, and manage key areas like wastewater, waste, chemicals, emergencies, risks, contractors, and transport safety. Leading the GEHSMS management system, you'll drive continuous improvement, audit readiness, and sustainable performance in a dynamic R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities

As an R&D EHS Analyst, you'll make a tangible impact through diverse duties:

  • Promote a robust EHS culture site-wide with C2C tours, awareness campaigns, training programs, and cross-group communication.
  • Support global EHS initiatives, sharing best practices within the Global R&D community.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with environmental, health, safety, and civil protection regulations, managing wastewater, waste, chemicals, permits, and documentation.
  • Coordinate emergency response plans, brigades, and preparedness drills.
  • Perform risk assessments, root cause accident investigations, corrective actions, and Safety Alerts.
  • Embed EHS into on-site projects from planning to execution.
  • Oversee contractor management, including access, training, and work permits.
  • Implement and improve GEHSMS standards, lead the SAT committee, and guide standard leaders.
  • Maintain comprehensive EHS documentation and records.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of EHS experience in R&D, manufacturing, or laboratory settings.
