Role Overview

The Red Team Principal Consultant (Remote) is a senior leadership role within CrowdStrike's elite services team. In this position, you'll lead a dedicated Red Team simulating real-world threat actors to help customers assess risks across the Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK Framework. You'll coordinate with executive leadership, plan and execute assessments, and collaborate with other CrowdStrike Services to strengthen customer defenses. This role demands expertise in adversary emulation, penetration testing, and mentoring junior team members, all while working remotely across the United States. Key Responsibilities

As Red Team Principal Consultant, you'll wear multiple hats: operator, project manager, and strategic advisor. Key duties include:

• Acting as the primary contact for Red Team coordination and leading all penetration testing activities.
• Developing comprehensive reports with mitigation strategies for management and technical audiences.
• Effectively communicating findings at all levels, from executive leadership to technical support teams.
• Organizing resources for penetration assessments of operating systems, applications, databases, and network infrastructure.
• Collaborating with teams to enhance information security programs and resources.
• Providing expert guidance during enterprise-wide crisis scenarios, such as large-scale outages.

Occasional travel may be required, and the role includes periodic drug and alcohol testing for compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, bring proven expertise and leadership to the table:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Red Team or Penetration Testing activities (highly preferred).
• At least 1 year in a leadership role, with skills in managing and mentoring teams.
• Advanced proficiency with security toolsets like Metasploit, NMAP, Cobalt Strike, Nessus, and Burp Suite.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Windows, Linux, UNIX, Mac OS; networking components (routers, switches, load balancers, wireless); firewalls, proxies, mail/web servers.
• Deep experience in Red Teaming, vulnerability assessments, adversary emulation, automation, and scripting.
• Security community involvement, such as conference speaking or tool contributions, is highly valued.
• Desirable certifications: OSCP, GPEN, OSCE, GCIH, GXPN.
