Job Description

About CrowdStrike

CrowdStrike is a global leader in cybersecurity, protecting the people, processes, and technologies that power modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission has remained unwavering: stop breaches before they occur. We've redefined security with the world's most advanced AI-native platform, the CrowdStrike Falcon platform, which delivers cloud-native protection, detection, and response across endpoints, cloud workloads, identity, and data. Our customers span every industry, relying on us to keep businesses operational, communities safe, and lives moving forward. As a mission-driven company, we foster a remote-first culture that empowers every CrowdStriker with flexibility and autonomy to own their careers. We're passionate about innovation, customer success, and building a community where talent thrives.

Role Overview

The Red Team Services Consultant role at CrowdStrike in Tokyo, Japan, is a senior position focused on simulating real-world threat actors to help customers assess risks across the Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK Framework. As a leader, you'll coordinate with senior executives, plan assessments, oversee execution, and collaborate with other CrowdStrike Services teams to strengthen customer defenses. This full-time role requires fluency in Japanese for customer communication, with business-level English as a plus. Occasional travel may be needed, but it aligns with our remote-first culture. If you have a passion for red teaming and penetration testing, this is your chance to impact cybersecurity at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll act as the primary contact for Red Team coordination, leading penetration testing activities end-to-end. You'll develop comprehensive reports with mitigation strategies tailored for management and technical teams, ensuring clear communication at all levels—from executive leadership to support staff. Organize resources to assess operating systems, applications, databases, and network infrastructure, detecting and enumerating threats effectively. Work with diverse teams to enhance information security programs, provide expert guidance during crises like large-scale outages, and mentor less experienced red teamers. Expect to balance hands-on operator duties with project management across various penetration testing offerings.

Daily Impact

Your work directly simulates adversary tactics, helping clients fortify their defenses using the Falcon platform's insights for proactive threat hunting and response.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, you need advanced experience in Red Team and penetration testing activities, preferably with leadership roles. Participation in the security community—such as conference speaking or tool contributions—is highly valued. Proficiency with tools like Metasploit, NMAP, Cobalt Strike, Nessus, and Burp Suite is essential, alongside deep knowledge of security methodologies, Windows/Linux/UNIX/Mac OS, networking components (routers, switches, load balancers, wireless), firewalls, proxies, mail/web servers, and automation scripting. Desirable certifications include OSCP, GPEN, OSCE, GCIH, and GXPN. Fluency in Japanese is required for customer interactions; business-level English enhances collaboration in our global team.

Benefits & Perks

CrowdStrike offers market-leading compensation with equity awards, comprehensive wellness programs for physical and mental health, generous vacation, holidays, and paid parental/adoption leaves. Enjoy professional development for all levels, employee networks, volunteer opportunities, and a vibrant remote-first culture with world-class amenities in our offices. Certified as a Great Place to Work globally, we prioritize belonging, equal opportunity, and support for veterans and those with disabilities.

Career Growth

At CrowdStrike, career ownership is key. This Sr. Consultant role provides mentorship opportunities, exposure to cutting-edge red teaming with the Falcon platform, and pathways to higher leadership in cybersecurity services. Our remote-first culture supports limitless growth through innovation-focused projects and global collaboration.
