The Regional Account Executive South L05 role at PepsiCo, based in Reading, United Kingdom, is a pivotal position within the Impulse sales team. Reporting to the Foodservice Customer Business Manager, you will manage a portfolio of independent foodservice and wholesale accounts in the highly competitive South Region (ideally based in SW/Bristol area). This out-based role involves 75% travel, with a company car provided, offering full autonomy to drive share, revenue, and profit across PepsiCo brands. Support delivery of Snacks & Nutrition Annual Operating Plan (AOP) metrics including Net Revenue (NR), NR/KG, Market Coverage (MC), and Share. Execute sub-channel customer value offers (CVO) with sales executives and tele-sales teams, while implementing Joint Business Plans (JBPs), Customer Performance Indicators (CPIs), and growth initiatives for market share expansion.
In this role, you will take day-to-day responsibility for Region Four - South Foodservice territory. Responsibilities include building world-class customer relationships, identifying new business leads with the New Business team, and co-creating best practices with the Foodservice and RTM teams. You will collaborate with finance on profitable commercial proposals, execute PepsiCo brand campaigns via account media plans, and manage your RTM scorecard components. Attend trade shows, support customer events, and foster cross-functional relationships with Shopper Marketing, Customer Insights, Supply, Marketing, Finance, and Field Teams to enhance joint businesses.
To succeed, you need demonstrated wholesale account management experience and proven success in commercially challenging roles. Key qualifications include commercial awareness with P&L understanding, strategic thinking, and a strong drive for results in an entrepreneurial culture. Excellent influencing, negotiation, and autonomous leadership skills are essential, alongside well-developed analytical abilities, IT proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and strong organization/prioritization skills. Thrive in ambiguity, handle internal/external pressures, and manage complex agendas with challenging contacts.
Ability to build collaborative internal/external relationships, deal with a challenging environment, and exhibit resilience in the diverse AFH customer base including QSR, Licensed, Catering, Travel, Hotels, Education, Hospitals, and Wholesalers.
