The Regional Account Manager - Unattended Retail (Vending Regional Account Manager) for the Midwest region (AR, IA, KS, MO, NE, TN) leads $100MM in growth for large vending distributors and operators. Preferred home bases: Kansas City, St. Louis, or Memphis, MO/TN. Focus on expanding existing accounts (80% time), uncovering multi-unit opportunities, and supporting frontline teams. Excel in a fast-paced, competitive environment managing key players like Vistar, Canteen, Aramark, and top independent operators.
Manage and expand customer base including Vistar, Independent Vend Distributors, Canteen Direct/Indirect, Aramark, USG, Sodexo. Establish strategic partnerships for sustainable growth. Collaborate with Workplace Director and Sr. Sales Manager on prioritized plans. Maintain performance scorecards and utilize CDSI system to track metrics and close gaps.
Identify and execute regional opportunities. Build segment-specific databases with customer profiles, competitive insights, and volume potential. Develop strategic selling stories, programs, and leverage resources by business line. Ensure new item distribution within 4 weeks of launch.
Enhance selling skills and execution for field teams. Innovate selling tools and techniques. Lead coordination of new business execution across the region.
Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) with 4+ years of progressive sales experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG). Foodservice or large account management is required. Key traits include strong communication, negotiation, strategic thinking, interpersonal skills for long-term contracts, initiative, organization, results-orientation, and customer focus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word is essential. Demonstrate problem-solving, multi-tasking, prioritization, process improvement, and relationship-building in competitive markets.
Earn $93,500 - $156,450 base (adjusted by location, skills, experience), plus 15% performance bonus.
