The Regional Vice President - Retirement - Texas - Independent Channel is a dynamic sales leadership role within Symetra's retirement division. As RVP, you will play a pivotal role in Symetra's growth strategy. Responsibilities include following the Sales Effectiveness Team's business plan to hit activity metrics, both in-person and virtual, while boosting brand awareness. Build lasting relationships with financial professionals through consistent zone rotation and territory coverage. Team up regularly with internal partners to keep producers updated on product enhancements and Symetra's value proposition. Identify producer needs swiftly, deliver tailored sales training via seminars, workshops, and one-on-one sessions, and source leads through Strategic Sales Opportunities (SSOs). Maintain strict adherence to travel and expense budgets, FINRA, SEC, and Symetra compliance policies, ensuring professional conduct at all times.
Symetra seeks proven performers with a college degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Candidates must have at least 5 years of wholesaling experience in bank or wirehouse distribution channels, along with FINRA Series 6 or 7, Series 63, and Life and Health licenses. Demonstrated sales competence, exceptional presentation skills, and a track record of growing regions through measurable sales results are essential. Deep knowledge of the advisor community, adaptability to changing environments, and strong territory management skills—including zone rotation, opportunity assessment, and strategic planning—are required.
