As a RAM, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for your customer portfolio, orchestrating success through education, enablement, upsell/cross-sell opportunities, and seamless renewals. With MongoDB powering the AI era database revolution, you'll help enterprises modernize legacy workloads and embrace cloud-native innovation across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure via MongoDB Atlas.

Key Responsibilities at MongoDB

  • Act as a strategic advisor to customers, aligning MongoDB initiatives with their internal processes, bottlenecks, and corporate strategy
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and nurture relationships within accounts to expand stakeholder footprint and position MongoDB as a strategic partner
  • Negotiate renewals and growth opportunities, executing the MongoDB sales process to protect and expand the renewal base
  • Execute territory management including account tiering/prioritization, strategic account planning, and risk/deal reviews
  • Own accurate forecasting of business performance week-over-week and quarter-over-quarter
  • Leverage data signals and proactive outreach to identify and address potential risks within your portfolio
  • Partner closely with MongoDB executives, product managers, Solutions Architects, Professional Services, and leadership teams
  • Conduct enablement sessions, strategy meetings, and quarterly business reviews to drive customer value and adoption
  • Articulate complex enterprise technology value including MongoDB's globally distributed, multi-cloud database platform

  • 2+ years quota-carrying Account Management or New Business sales experience in SaaS/technology
  • 5+ years total experience with direct revenue responsibility in customer-centric roles
  • Proven track record hitting expansion/upsell AND renewal/retention targets
  • End-to-end client relationship management with complex use cases and multiple stakeholders
  • Technical aptitude for databases, MongoDB, NoSQL, cloud infrastructure (prior exposure a plus)
  • Outstanding communication skills for presenting to diverse audiences internally/externally
  • Entrepreneurial mindset thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while building processes
  • Data-driven acumen leveraging tools and analytics for customer insights and portfolio management
