Role Overview

Cardinal Health is seeking a dedicated Retail Pharmacist (Outpatient) for our managed retail pharmacy at Adams Community Pharmacy, located at 1401 N 13th St, Decatur, IN 46733. This full-time role involves delivering essential medication and pharmaceutical care to underserved communities. Pharmacists here perform immunizations, patient consultations, medication therapy management, and support high-risk patients. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm and Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm, offering a predictable schedule in a community-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless pharmacy operations:

  • Under direct manager supervision, dispense medications and guarantee safe, efficient delivery to all customers.
  • Maintain open lines of communication, providing consultations to customers and practitioner sites.
  • Participate in supervising technical staff to optimize daily operations.
  • Ensure the pharmacy adheres to best practices for the 340B program, maximizing its benefits for eligible patients.
  • Offer professional consultations to patients and prescribers at partner health facilities.
  • Complete operational requirements by organizing technician workflows, verifying pharmaceutical preparation, labeling, order entries, charges, and inspections.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
  • Active pharmacist license in the state of Indiana required.
