Role Overview

As a Retail Pharmacist at Cardinal Health's Spectrum Health Services location in Philadelphia, PA, you'll play a vital role in an entity-owned retail pharmacy serving communities in need. Located at 5201 Haverford Ave, this position offers Monday-Friday hours (closed weekends), with potential floating to our Cottman Avenue site at 3525 Cottman Ave (8:30am-5pm). Deliver medication and pharmaceutical care, including immunizations, patient consultations, medication therapy management, and high-risk patient support. Under direct manager supervision, ensure safe, efficient medication delivery while maintaining compliance and fostering strong patient relationships. This is a full-time role with an anticipated hourly range of $56.10 - $80.30, determined by location, experience, and internal equity.

Key Responsibilities

Dispensing and Safety

Responsible for dispensing medications and ensuring safe, efficient delivery to all customers. Organize and direct technicians' workflow, verifying preparation, labeling, order entries, charges, and inspections.

Consultation and Communication

Maintain open communication, available for consultations with customers and practitioner sites. Provide professional consultations to patients and prescribers at partner health facilities.

Compliance and Supervision

Participate in supervising technical staff. Ensure the pharmacy complies with best practices for 340B contract pharmacies, supporting HRSA compliance and population health needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (PharmD preferred) and an active Licensed Pharmacist credential in Pennsylvania. Preferred qualifications include Immunization Certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days), 340B experience, and vendor credentialing. Strong interpersonal relations, customer service skills, and flexibility for scheduling or floating between locations are essential. Vendor credentialing may be required.
