As Retail Pharmacy Manager at our entity-owned 340B community pharmacy within Sixteenth Street Community Health Center in Milwaukee, WI, you'll lead operations Monday-Friday from 8:30am-6:00pm. This role combines pharmacy management, patient-centered care, and regulatory oversight to serve high-need communities. Deliver immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), adherence monitoring, and high-risk patient care. Operate as Pharmacist in Charge under Wisconsin law, ensuring safe, compliant dispensing while driving clinical initiatives with health center partners.
Partner with administrative and physician leaders to implement pharmacist-driven services. Develop collaborative practice agreements boosting medication compliance and provider satisfaction for high-risk patients.
Oversee staffing, maintain accurate prescription records, enforce dispensing/labeling policies, and secure the pharmacy area. Report thefts/diversions per federal/state rules and restrict unauthorized access.
Champion 340B compliance, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plans to minimize errors, and adherence to all statutes. Ensure no misbranded/outdated drugs in stock, maintain sanitary conditions, and limit consultations to supervised pharmacists/interns.
Provide professional consultations, immunizations, and MTM to enhance community health outcomes.
Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred), an active Wisconsin Pharmacist license in good standing, and 3+ years management experience (4-5 years total pharmacy). Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred for our diverse community. Obtain Immunization Certification within 90 days if needed. Bring strong interpersonal skills, multitasking, time management, and 340B knowledge. Vendor credentialing may apply; flexible scheduling required.
