Role Overview

The Retail Pharmacy Technician (Outpatient) position at Cardinal Health is based at Adams Community Pharmacy in Decatur, Indiana, within Adam County Memorial Hospital. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week on a consistent schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm and Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm. As a key team member in our hospital-based retail pharmacy, you'll play a vital role in delivering medications and pharmaceutical care to underserved communities. Technicians build strong patient relationships while assisting pharmacists in accurate prescription preparation and fulfillment. Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you'll support the pharmacy team's mission to serve patients effectively. Responsibilities include maintaining professional relationships with pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical staff. Adapt to varying demands by staying available to customers and upholding a friendly, helpful attitude. Ensure a safe, clean pharmacy through compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations. Organize medications by profiling prescriptions, preparing labels, and calculating quantities. Deliver medications to patients, order stock when needed, and contribute to team efforts. Collaborate on 340B best practices and handle patient deliveries as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, candidates need a current Pharmacy Technician License in Indiana. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with at least 2 years of retail pharmacy technician experience. Vendor credentialing may be required. These qualifications ensure you're equipped to handle the fast-paced environment while prioritizing accuracy and patient safety.
