Role Overview

Cardinal Health seeks a dedicated Retail Pharmacy Technician for our company-owned retail contract pharmacy at Western Sierra Medical Clinic in Grass Valley, California. This full-time role, operating Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm, focuses on delivering medication and pharmaceutical care to underserved communities. Technicians build strong patient relationships and assist pharmacists in accurate prescription preparation and delivery, playing a vital role in our mission to improve community health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

As a Retail Pharmacy Technician, you'll ensure seamless pharmacy operations in a community-focused setting. Responsibilities include maintaining professional relationships with pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical staff. Stay adaptable to changing departmental demands while prioritizing customer availability and a friendly, helpful demeanor. Comply with all procedures, rules, and regulations to keep the pharmacy safe and clean. Profile prescriptions, prepare labels, calculate quantities, deliver medications to patients, and order supplies as needed. Contribute to team success by following 340B best practices and accomplishing related tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements

We seek motivated candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred), state registration where applicable, and at least 2 years of retail pharmacy technician experience. 340B experience is highly preferred, and vendor credentialing may be required.
