Role Overview

This part-time Retail Pharmacy Technician position at Cardinal Health's company-owned retail contract pharmacy is located at Orange City Area Health System Outpatient Hospital in Orange City, IA. Working 1-3 days per week (4-8 hour shifts, totaling 10-15 hours weekly), you'll support pharmacists in delivering high-quality medication and pharmaceutical care to patients in need. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00AM-6:30PM and Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM. Key Responsibilities

As a Retail Pharmacy Technician, your role is dynamic and patient-focused. Key duties include:

• Maintaining professional working relationships with pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical staff.
• Adapting to varied pharmacy demands as departmental needs evolve.
• Being readily available to customers and patients while upholding a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Keeping the pharmacy safe and clean by following all procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Organizing medications for dispensing through prescription profiling, label preparation, and quantity calculations.
• Ensuring medication availability by delivering to patients and ordering supplies as needed.
• Contributing to team efforts and collaborating on 340B best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

We seek candidates with a strong foundation in retail pharmacy. Essential qualifications include:

• High school degree or equivalent (preferred).
• Registration in Iowa (if applicable).
• PTCB Certification or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment.
• At least 2 years of retail pharmacy technician experience.
• 340B experience (preferred).
• Vendor credentialing may be required.
