Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the month-end reporting process to deliver timely and accurate financial information.
  • Take full responsibility for key aspects of the revenue recognition process, leveraging your IFRS 15 strengths.
  • Support the year-end audit process and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to the finance team's broader initiatives to prepare for Canonical's upcoming IPO.
  • Drive improvements in financial processes and procedures while monitoring compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Exceptional academic performance and subsequent career achievements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience with IFRS 15 or ASC 606 revenue recognition.
  • Preferably, experience from a large public accounting firm (Big 4) or a public multinational corporate accounting department.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is a strong plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to four times per year for team sprints and company events.
