Key Responsibilities

Core Accounting Operations

• Manage and supervise daily accounting functions such as general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable processing, payroll execution, and cash management strategies.
• Oversee bank reconciliations, prepare journal entries, and lead month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial closes.
• Review daily fund transfers, verifying proper allocation and reconciliation to maintain cash flow integrity.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

• Prepare precise monthly and annual financial statements in strict adherence to GAAP, DOL, and ERISA requirements.
• Process monthly contribution reports from contractors and assist with month-end/year-end reconciliations.
• Handle IRS Form 5500 filings, tax submissions, and other compliance reporting, while developing audit-ready documentation.

Audit and Process Improvement

• Provide comprehensive support for annual external audits by independent public accountants and regulatory agencies.
• Maintain and enforce strong internal controls and accounting standards, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and escalating recommendations.

Team Leadership and Strategy

• Manage, train, and mentor accounting team members, fostering a culture of accuracy and growth.
• Deliver business analysis, reports, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

To excel as our Accounting Manager, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.
• At least 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, including prior supervisory roles.
• Demonstrated sound understanding of GAAP principles.
