Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations and Leadership

• Lead daily accounts payable activities, including high-volume invoice processing, vendor payments, and account reconciliations to maintain cash flow efficiency.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for complex AP issues, escalations, and vendor inquiries, resolving them swiftly to minimize disruptions.
• Review invoices and payment runs meticulously for accuracy, proper coding, approvals, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Financial Close and Compliance

• Support month-end and year-end close activities related to accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Procurement, and other departments to investigate and resolve discrepancies, fostering seamless operations.
• Maintain and improve AP processes, documentation, and internal controls to drive efficiency and reduce errors.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing comprehensive documentation and responding promptly to auditor requests.
• Ensure full compliance with tax requirements, company policies, and regulatory standards such as GAAP and SOX where applicable.

Performance and Team Support

• Provide guidance and informal support to AP team members through knowledge-sharing, best practices, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor key AP metrics, such as aging reports, payment timeliness, and DPO, recommending data-driven improvements.
