Act as a trusted partner to commercial, finance, and operations leaders, weaving tax insights into every major business decision. Anticipate tax ramifications of initiatives like market expansions, acquisitions, or supply chain shifts, collaborating across departments to maximize after-tax value and minimize exposures.
Spearhead the shift to in-house preparation of income tax returns, annual provisions, and true-ups. Mentor the tax manager, standardize workflows, and implement automation technologies to streamline federal, state, and indirect tax processes for multiple business units spanning various states.
Oversee sales/use tax compliance with support from the Global Indirect Tax team. Monitor evolving tax legislation across the Americas, pinpointing risks and opportunities. Build strategic alliances with external advisors for cost-effective support, and represent the company confidently in tax audits and authority dealings, ensuring perpetual audit readiness.
Champion tax reporting and forecasting enhancements aligned with global standards like ASC 740. Introduce industry-leading best practices, tax software, and ERP integrations to boost accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation required; Master's in Taxation or MBA preferred. Active CPA, CMAA, or equivalent certification essential.
10+ years in tax, including 5+ in director-level roles managing Americas or multi-jurisdictional portfolios. Proven success in tax department build-outs, audit defenses, and strategic advisory.
Expertise in U.S. tax codes, provisions, compliance software (e.g., Vertex, Avalara), and forecasting models. Exceptional communicator adept at stakeholder influence, team leadership, and regulatory navigation.
