• Team Leadership & Development: Build and nurture a high-performing team of project managers. This includes talent acquisition, annual performance evaluations, individualized career coaching, and fostering a collaborative environment that drives retention and growth.
• Mentoring Excellence: Provide hands-on guidance to project managers on complex technical decisions, risk mitigation, and agile execution strategies tailored to electronics-based innovations.
• Process Standardization: Design and roll out robust frameworks, including project management software, workflows, and compliance protocols to meet industry regulations like ISO standards or FDA requirements for electronics.
• Project Oversight: Helm the portfolio of NPD projects, meticulously tracking milestones, budgets (often $500K+ per project), and deliverables using tools like MS Project, Jira, or Primavera.
• Customer & Stakeholder Mastery: Partner with project managers to align client expectations, negotiate scope trade-offs, and deliver transparent updates that build long-term partnerships.
• Performance Monitoring: Implement KPIs and dashboards for real-time visibility, enabling proactive decisions that ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Continuous Improvement: Champion technical best practices, root-cause analysis, and innovative methodologies like Lean Six Sigma to elevate team capabilities.

Required Qualifications

To succeed, you'll bring a blend of technical depth and leadership prowess. Ideal candidates possess:

• A Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years in project management, with at least 3 years leading PM teams in technical sectors like electronics or hardware development.
• Demonstrated success in multi-project environments, managing budgets exceeding $1M and cross-functional teams of 10+.
• Expertise in NPD lifecycles, from ideation through prototyping, testing, and launch.
• Proficiency with PM tools (Jira, Asana, MS Project) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
• PMP, PgMP, or PRINCE2 certification highly valued.
• Exceptional soft skills: influencing executives, resolving conflicts, and articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience in regulated industries, ensuring compliance with standards like RoHS, UL, or IPC.
