As a leader in staffing and technology solutions, Robert Half is at the forefront of transforming businesses through advanced AI and machine learning technologies. In this pivotal full-time role, you will design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions that power our state-of-the-art SaaS platform. Imagine contributing to intelligent features that revolutionize customer experiences, optimize workflows, and drive unprecedented business growth. This position offers the chance to work with cross-functional teams of product managers, engineers, and data scientists, collaborating on projects that leverage generative AI, predictive analytics, and more. If you thrive in dynamic environments and have a passion for building scalable AI systems using Python, TypeScript, and React, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact at a company renowned for its commitment to excellence and employee success.

Located in the vibrant city of Knoxville, TN, this role combines the benefits of a thriving tech scene with the charm of a mid-sized city, offering an ideal work-life balance. Knoxville's growing tech ecosystem, coupled with Robert Half's national reach, positions you for rapid career advancement in the booming field of AI engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Core Development Duties

Your primary focus will be on developing and deploying robust machine learning models tailored for predictive analytics, generative AI, and other advanced capabilities within our SaaS environment. This includes creating scalable data pipelines for seamless model training, rigorous testing, and continuous monitoring to guarantee peak performance and reliability in production settings.

Collaboration and Integration

You will partner closely with product, engineering, and data teams to pinpoint business challenges and craft AI-driven solutions. Key tasks involve designing and integrating sophisticated AI functionalities like recommendation engines and classification systems, all while prioritizing efficiency, accuracy, and seamless user experiences. Expertise in incorporating AI models into cloud-based systems via APIs, microservices, and containerized infrastructure (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is essential.

Innovation and Compliance

Stay ahead of the curve by assessing and implementing third-party AI tools and frameworks to boost productivity. A critical aspect of this role is ensuring all models adhere to stringent privacy, security, and fairness standards, with full compliance across implementations. You will document workflows meticulously, track experiments, and uphold reproducibility to foster a culture of transparency and continuous improvement. Finally, commit to ongoing learning by keeping abreast of the latest advancements in AI technologies, machine learning techniques, and SaaS architecture trends.

Proficiency in Python for backend ML development, TypeScript and React for frontend integrations, and familiarity with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face is required. Demonstrated experience building scalable data pipelines, deploying models in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), and working with microservices architecture is non-negotiable.

Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to collaborate effectively in agile teams, and a deep understanding of AI ethics—including bias mitigation and data privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA—are must-haves. Prior SaaS experience, particularly in optimizing customer-facing AI features, will set you apart. Excellent communication skills for documenting complex processes and presenting findings to stakeholders are also essential.
