Key Responsibilities

Financial Oversight and Reporting

Serve as the primary financial liaison for the CEO, CFO of Investments, and estate leadership. Proactively review these with leadership, scrutinize external accountants' work, and ensure GAAP compliance.

Cash Management and Banking

Monitor cash balances, orchestrate fund movements, and manage banking relationships—from account openings to permissions. Oversee accounts payable, approve invoices (including intercompany), and track transactions with precision.

Strategic Planning and Special Projects

Collaborate on annual financial plans, lead vineyard budgeting, cost analysis, and partner vetting. Monitor construction finances, flagging variances early. Participate in CEO-directed initiatives for holistic financial strategy.

Insurance and Risk Management

Ensure robust, current insurance coverage for estates, entities, and activities. Partner with brokers on policies, claims, and future needs, keeping stakeholders informed.
