Key Responsibilities

Core Legal Duties

• Deliver expert legal advice to landlord clients on critical issues like lease agreements, non-payment evictions, holdover proceedings, and tenant rights under New York Real Property Law.
• Appear in housing court 4-5 times per week in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, or Staten Island, handling trials, hearings, and emergency applications.
• Represent clients zealously in mediations, settlement conferences, and negotiations with tenants and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes efficiently.

Document and Client Management

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of legal documents, including residential and commercial leases, eviction notices (30-day, 14-day, etc.), petitions for possession, and stipulations of settlement.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, judges, court clerks, and adversaries, ensuring all interactions uphold the firm's reputation for excellence.
• Educate clients proactively about their legal rights, responsibilities, and strategic options in landlord-tenant disputes, fostering long-term relationships.

Required Qualifications
