Key Responsibilities

Core Litigation Duties

• Handle complex subrogation cases involving insurance recoveries and third-party claims.
• Manage catastrophic insurance litigation, including high-stakes property damage and liability disputes.
• Perform extensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other advanced tools to develop winning strategies.
• Draft compelling motions, oppositions, replies, complaints, and discovery responses.

Discovery and Courtroom Work

• Oversee all phases of discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and expert disclosures.
• Prepare for, take, and defend depositions of fact witnesses, experts, and corporate representatives.
• Make regular court appearances in Los Angeles Superior Court and federal courts for hearings, status conferences, and motion arguments.
• Assist in trial preparation, including exhibit organization, witness outlines, and mock examinations.

Expect a dynamic caseload that keeps you engaged without overwhelming volume, supported by paralegals and staff.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this Associate Attorney role, candidates must demonstrate:

• 2+ years of civil litigation experience in California courts (any practice area considered).
• Proven expertise in discovery practice, motion drafting, court appearances, depositions, and trial prep.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership in good standing.
