Key Responsibilities

As an Assurance Senior Associate, you'll take ownership of client engagements from planning to completion. Your role will involve serving as the primary engagement lead, developing comprehensive work plans, managing budgets and timelines, and ensuring flawless execution. You'll actively contribute to proposals, demonstrating your business development acumen, while leading teams of staff associates and interns. Providing ongoing performance coaching and feedback will be central to fostering a high-performing team culture.

• Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts in private equity and hedge funds
• Take full responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables
• Develop detailed engagement work plans tailored to complex financial services audits
• Illustrate realistic budgets and schedules to meet client expectations
• Actively participate in proposals to secure new alternative investment fund clients
• Manage teams of staff associates, including interns, with regular performance coaching
• Gain respect of the CRZ team through effective client management and leadership
• Ensure timely, accurate communication and clear direction on all projects

Required Qualifications for Success

To excel in this Assurance Senior Associate role, candidates need proven experience in public accounting assurance services, particularly within financial services. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required, along with CPA certification (active or eligible). Big 4 or national CPA firm experience is highly preferred, especially with private equity, hedge funds, or alternative investments.

• 3-5+ years of assurance/audit experience in public accounting
• Deep knowledge of financial services regulations and standards
• Strong leadership skills with team management experience
