Lead the development of sophisticated litigation strategies for eminent domain cases, managing them seamlessly from inception through to favorable resolutions. Your ability to anticipate challenges and pivot tactics will be crucial in securing optimal outcomes for clients facing government takings or infrastructure projects.
Perform in-depth valuation analyses, dissecting property appraisals, market data, and economic factors to build ironclad case arguments. Collaborate with expert witnesses to ensure your valuations withstand rigorous scrutiny in court.
Draft and file essential motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents with precision and timeliness. Your high-quality writing samples will form the backbone of persuasive advocacy that influences judicial decisions.
Oversee discovery processes, including scheduling and conducting depositions, reviewing vast evidence troves, and preparing trial exhibits. Represent clients confidently in hearings, arbitrations, and full-scale trials, delivering compelling oral arguments.
Provide expert legal counsel to clients, keeping them informed and empowered throughout the litigation journey. Work closely with partners, associates, and support staff to refine strategies, share insights, and maximize case success rates.
Maintain strict adherence to ethical standards, procedural rules, and California-specific eminent domain regulations. Stay ahead of evolving laws through ongoing research and professional development.
To excel in this Attorney role, candidates must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and possess an active California Bar license. We seek professionals with 3-7 years of hands-on experience in eminent domain, real estate law, and civil litigation, including proven success in trial settings. Key skills include mastery of valuation analysis, litigation strategy formulation, court filings, discovery management, and trial preparation. Strong communication—both written and verbal—is non-negotiable, as is the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Familiarity with California Code of Civil Procedure, eminent domain statutes, and local court practices is highly preferred.
