Key Responsibilities

Payroll Processing and Accuracy

Take full ownership of monthly payroll processing, ensuring every paycheck is accurate, timely, and compliant. From calculating wages to handling deductions and taxes, you'll manage the end-to-end cycle for 30 employees, minimizing errors and delays.

Benefits Administration Expertise

Lead all aspects of benefits management, including new hire enrollments, life event changes, and annual open enrollment periods. You'll coordinate with carriers, reconcile invoices, and ensure seamless transitions for employees.

Compliance and Regulatory Mastery

Stay ahead of evolving federal, state, and local regulations governing payroll and benefits. Conduct audits, implement updates, and mitigate risks to keep the organization fully compliant.

Employee Support and Partnership

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions on payroll, benefits, and related topics. Build trust through clear communication and proactive problem-solving. Collaborate with HR and Finance to optimize workflows, improve data accuracy, and generate insightful reports for leadership.

Process Improvement and Reporting

Identify opportunities to streamline operations, leveraging technology and best practices. Prepare detailed reports and support year-end activities like W-2s, 1099s, and ACA reporting.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this Benefits and Payroll Manager role, candidates should bring proven expertise in payroll processing, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance. Ideal applicants have 3-5+ years of experience in similar functions, preferably in small to mid-sized organizations. Key qualifications include:
