About the Role

As a BI Developer at our client's Houston office, you'll be at the forefront of transforming raw data into strategic intelligence. The position emphasizes developing intuitive Power BI dashboards and reports that drive business performance. You'll work extensively with Snowflake for large-scale data warehousing and Microsoft Fabric to orchestrate end-to-end analytics pipelines, including Lakehouse architectures, Data Warehouses, and advanced semantic models.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will involve hands-on development and collaboration:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports tailored for enterprise-wide users, ensuring intuitive visualization and interactivity.
• Build and optimize semantic models and datasets, focusing on performance tuning for large datasets and complex queries.
• Write, optimize, and maintain sophisticated SQL queries to extract insights from diverse data sources efficiently.
• Utilize Snowflake data warehouses to handle massive analytical workloads with scalability and cost-efficiency.
• Implement Microsoft Fabric components like Lakehouse for unified data storage, Data Warehouse for structured analytics, and semantic models for self-service BI.
• Partner with data engineering teams to validate and refine data pipelines, ensuring trusted, high-quality sources.
• Apply data validation, comprehensive testing, and governance frameworks to maintain solution integrity.
• Translate ambiguous business requirements into precise technical specifications and deliverables.

Required Qualifications

To succeed, you'll bring:

• 5+ years of proven experience as a BI Developer or similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI for dashboard and report development.
• Expert-level SQL skills with optimization for performance.

• Strong understanding of data modeling, DAX, and semantic layers.
