Key Responsibilities

Daily & Transactional Accounting

  • Handle full-cycle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including invoice processing, vendor payments, aging report reviews, and collections follow-up to optimize cash flow.
  • Accurately enter, categorize, and post transactions to the general ledger, ensuring data integrity and consistency across systems.
  • Perform daily reconciliations of bank statements, credit card accounts, and other critical balance sheet items to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Monthly & Period-End Close

  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, and necessary adjustments to support accurate financial closes.
  • Execute month-end and year-end close procedures efficiently for multiple clients, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining precision.
  • Organize and maintain comprehensive financial documentation in compliance with client policies, GAAP standards, and regulatory requirements.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Generate key financial statements including Profit & Loss (P&L), balance sheets, and cash flow reports for client leadership review.
  • Conduct variance analysis to uncover trends, irregularities, or anomalies, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Prepare audit-ready schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to facilitate smooth external audits and reviews.

Systems, Tools & Client Collaboration

  • Navigate diverse accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online/Desktop, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Sage Intacct, or proprietary client systems with ease.
  • Leverage advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros) for complex reconciliations, data analysis, and custom reporting.
  • Quickly adapt to new client environments, industries, and workflows while communicating professionally with stakeholders to deliver updates, resolve issues, and suggest process improvements.

Required Qualifications
