Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for leveraging existing data systems to meet the information management needs of the organization, ensuring seamless access to healthcare data.
• Deep dive into underlying data structures, accessing and delivering data in understandable formats tailored to front-end software and healthcare operations workflows.
• Conduct thorough assessments of medical informatics environments, synthesize key information, and develop standard reporting that aligns with business and clinical objectives.
• Collaborate closely with leadership and executive teams to innovate and enhance reporting templates, optimizing for payer risk reporting and quality measures.
• Act as the primary liaison for informatics-related activities, driving integration of programs and products with organization-wide electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Partner with staff to utilize internal and external resources for research, discovery, and advanced analytics needs in population health management.
• Implement best practices, procedures, and cutting-edge technology to maintain and enrich information resources throughout their lifecycle.
• Consult with Management, IT Department, training, and operations teams on applying information management practices to software development initiatives.
• Demonstrate core competency in IBM Cognos Analytics and other SRH report writing tools, handling development, support, and enhancements.
• Supervise the Informatics department, fostering a positive work environment through internal communication, cross-training, performance reviews, and managing key deliverables.
• Lead project management for all long-term department assignments, including planning, organizing, securing resources, leading teams, and controlling outcomes to achieve specific goals.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this BI Engineer role in Peekskill, NY, candidates should hold a High School Diploma or preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. • Familiarity with quality and value-based care frameworks including UDS, HEDIS, HCC/RAF, and CMS programs.
• Experience supporting payer or delegated risk reporting, population health platforms, and cloud/hybrid analytics architectures.
• Advanced SQL proficiency across relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Deep knowledge of data security, HIPAA regulations, and role-based access controls.
