Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Serve as the primary coordination hub linking GIS teams, Maximo/asset management groups, and business units. Lead requirements gathering workshops, design reviews, and alignment sessions to translate complex business needs into actionable system, integration, and data specifications. Manage scope, timelines, and dependencies to keep projects on track.

GIS & Maximo Systems Support

Drive full-spectrum architecture changes in GIS environments, from platform upgrades and integration enhancements to security protocols. Oversee database migrations, data model evolutions, validation, and reconciliation processes. Analyze impacts across GIS and Maximo during upgrades, while supporting critical data flows to downstream systems.

Documentation & Audit Readiness

Create and maintain meticulous documentation including business requirements, functional/technical specs, architecture diagrams, data flows, and change logs. Ensure 100% traceability from requirements through testing and deployment, fully compliant with regulatory and audit standards—a core focus of this role.

Project & Delivery Support

Leverage Jira for work tracking, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management in a hybrid delivery model blending Agile sprints with Waterfall milestones. Aid project managers in risk assessment, dependency mapping, UAT coordination, and defect resolution to deliver flawless outcomes.

Required Qualifications

To excel as our Business Systems Analyst in Houston, TX, bring 5+ years of BSA experience in enterprise settings, with deep expertise in GIS platforms and IBM Maximo.
