Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP and construction-specific accounting standards like percentage-of-completion.

Tax Strategy & Compliance

  • Lead tax planning strategies to minimize liability while maintaining full compliance across multi-entity, multi-state operations.
  • Oversee complex tax considerations common in construction, including SALT, depreciation, and incentives.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors to optimize entity structure, R&D credits, and growth-related tax implications.

Cash Flow & Capital Management

  • Oversee cash flow management, addressing working capital, bonding requirements, banking relationships, and lines of credit.
  • Manage key relationships with banks, sureties, and financial institutions to secure liquidity.
  • Ensure adequate liquidity for growth, equipment purchases, and seasonal fluctuations inherent in construction.
  • Evaluate financing options for capital expenditures, fleet expansions, and strategic initiatives.
