Key Responsibilities

Lead Content Strategy & Planning

  • Own and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with full-funnel marketing, sales enablement, and business objectives
  • Develop compelling, solution-oriented storytelling that connects PennEngineering’s fasteners, assemblies, and engineering solutions to real-world customer pain points
  • Build and manage an integrated content roadmap and editorial calendar spanning web content, landing pages, social media, email campaigns, and sales collateral
  • Collaborate closely with product marketing, demand gen, sales, and engineering teams to uncover content gaps, prioritize high-ROI topics, and align on messaging
  • Establish robust messaging frameworks, voice guidelines, and content standards to maintain brand consistency across all channels

Create & Optimize for Search, AI, and Discovery

  • Craft AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) content that directly answers high-intent questions from engineers, procurement teams, and decision-makers
  • Lead production of premium assets including white papers, case studies, technical blogs, landing pages, video scripts, infographics, and interactive tools
  • Implement advanced SEO best practices, schema markup, structured data, and modular content formats to boost visibility in Google, Bing, AI chatbots like ChatGPT, and tools like Perplexity
  • Continuously optimize existing content library for performance across evolving search landscapes
  • Experiment with emerging AI content tools, generative AI platforms, and new distribution channels to maximize reach and engagement

Hands-On Content Development & Execution

  • Write and edit high-impact content in-house, minimizing agency dependency while maintaining exceptional quality
  • Translate dense engineering specifications, manufacturing processes, and technical innovations into clear, credible, customer-centric narratives
  • Collaborate on multimedia projects including video scripting, webinar content, and interactive digital experiences for trade shows and virtual events
  • Measure content performance using analytics tools and iterate based on data to drive continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of content strategy experience, with at least 3 years in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial B2B sectors
  • Deep understanding of SEO evolution, including AEO, zero-click searches, and AI-driven discovery
  • Proven track record creating content that ranks highly and converts in technical industries
  • Hands-on writing/editing experience with complex technical subjects
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS), marketing automation platforms, and analytics tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs)
  • Strong project management skills to handle editorial calendars and cross-team collaboration
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or related field
