  • Developing and enforcing robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Providing timely financial and operational reporting to support leadership decisions.
  • Partnering with plant management to monitor labor, material, overhead, and other key expenses.
  • Performing in-depth profitability analysis by product line, client, supplier, and facility.
  • Managing the annual audit cycle, liaising with external auditors, and coordinating tax strategies.
  • Handling daily cash flow management, loan covenant monitoring, and treasury operations.
  • Leading finance representation in ERP upgrades, implementations, and system rollouts.
  • Contributing to mergers and acquisitions, from due diligence to post-merger financial integration.
  • Continuously refining standard cost systems, including purchase price variance and COGS reporting.
  • Spearheading annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning with cross-functional teams.
  • Delivering financial training to foster cost consciousness organization-wide.
  • Overseeing risk management, insurance programs (workers' comp, liability), and compliance.
  • Driving process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and boost productivity.

Required Qualifications

To succeed, you'll bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (Master's or CPA preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive experience, including 5+ years in manufacturing or plant finance.
  • Deep knowledge of cost accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management.
  • Proven track record in US GAAP reporting, internal controls (SOX experience a plus), and audits.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor) and financial software.
  • Strong analytical skills for profitability modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities to influence without authority.
  • Familiarity with treasury, cash flow, M&A, and risk management in a multi-site operation.
