Oversee accounting for capital activities such as contributions, distributions, and preferred returns. Analyze fund and investment-level performance metrics, including income, appreciation, and time-weighted returns, while benchmarking against industry indices.
Lead external audit and tax processes for timely and accurate deliverables. Develop comprehensive quarterly investor reporting packages and coordinate submissions to pension fund consultants and institutional investors, fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
Administer and optimize Yardi systems for seamless property and fund-level accounting and reporting. Drive initiatives for process improvements, automation solutions, and data integration to boost operational efficiency and scalability.
Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial data integrity and adherence to regulatory requirements and partnership agreements. Collaborate closely with portfolio management teams to interpret results and support informed investment strategies.
To excel as our Controller, you need a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with CPA certification highly preferred. Bring 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in fund accounting for real estate or private equity. Proficiency in Yardi Voyager is essential, alongside deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, performance metrics like IRR, and audit management. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are non-negotiable, as is your ability to lead automation projects and ensure compliance in a fast-paced environment.
