  • Leading monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and GAAP compliance.
  • Preparing and analyzing financial statements, delivering actionable insights to executive leadership.
  • Developing and maintaining strong internal controls, accounting policies, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Managing annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in close partnership with senior executives.
  • Providing clear financial reporting and analysis to inform strategic decision-making and business growth.
  • Handling cash flow management, treasury activities, and key banking relationships.
  • Coordinating external audits, tax filings, and liaising with CPA firms and advisors.
  • Ensuring full compliance with federal, state, local tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements, automation, and efficiency gains across accounting functions.
  • Building, mentoring, and leading a high-performing accounting team through hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with operations, HR, and leadership to align finance with broader business objectives.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate brings proven expertise and leadership to this Controller role. Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a Controller or equivalent senior role.
  • Active CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow optimization.
