Key Responsibilities

Core Accounting Operations

  • Manage all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger, revenue recognition, accounts payable/receivable, and financial statement preparation.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with precision and efficiency to meet tight deadlines.
  • Prepare, review, and present monthly financial statements, management reports, and actual-to-budget variance analyses to executive leadership.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal documentation in full accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Regulatory & Compliance Leadership

  • Execute all SEC reporting requirements, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and related disclosures, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Maintain strict compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and all applicable financial reporting standards.
  • Oversee SOX 404(a) compliance, including robust internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) to mitigate risks.

Tax, Treasury & Strategic Finance

  • Oversee tax compliance initiatives and collaborate seamlessly with external tax advisors.
  • Manage treasury functions such as cash management, banking relationships, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Actively contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning to support strategic business decisions.

Required Qualifications

To excel as Controller, you bring proven expertise and a proactive mindset. Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3+ years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role within a publicly traded company.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with SEC reporting (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), U.S. GAAP, SOX 404(a), and ICFR.
  • Strong technical skills in financial systems, ERP software, advanced Excel, and process automation.
  • Proven ability to lead accounting teams, improve processes, and deliver in fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in revenue recognition, treasury management, tax compliance, and strategic forecasting.
