  • Coordinate all external audits, ensuring seamless compliance with regulatory requirements, debt covenants, and industry standards.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance financial systems, policies, and procedures, aligning them with strategic business objectives and fostering operational excellence.
  • Partner with C-suite executives to deliver actionable financial and operational insights, driving performance improvements and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain strict adherence to GAAP, FASB, GASB, and other relevant standards, mitigating risks and safeguarding financial integrity.
  • Supervise and mentor a high-performing accounting team, including the Assistant Controller of Operations, Budget Manager, Fixed Asset Manager, and General Ledger Manager, promoting professional growth and collaboration.
  • Act as the primary financial advisor on accounting policies, process improvements, and special projects, including the critical transition from annual to quarterly consolidations.
  • Spearhead special projects that enhance financial reporting efficiency and support the organization's expansion in healthcare services.

Required Qualifications

To excel as our Controller, candidates must bring a proven track record in senior financial leadership within complex, multi-entity environments, ideally in healthcare. Key qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; Master's degree or CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a Controller or equivalent senior role managing consolidations and teams.
  • Deep expertise in GAAP, FASB, GASB compliance, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor staff, and drive process improvements using ERP systems and advanced financial software.
