Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Operations

  • Oversee comprehensive fund administration, managing quarterly closes, external audits, tax compliance, and ASC 820 fair value valuation processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Lead day-to-day financial operations for the management company and investment funds, including annual budgeting, multi-scenario cash-flow forecasting, and customized internal management reporting.
  • Develop and maintain robust systems for deal tracking, legal entity documentation, portfolio company monitoring, and advanced fund performance analytics dashboards.
  • Prepare polished financial packages for limited partner (LP) communications, interactive executive dashboards, advisory board presentations, and senior leadership reviews.

Compliance & Investor Support

  • Collaborate closely with the CFO, Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), and external partners on all regulatory filings, annual compliance reviews, and SOX/internal control framework enhancements.
  • Drive fundraising success by creating compelling LP pitch materials, managing secure data rooms, and expertly handling operational due diligence questionnaires from prospective investors.
  • Partner with investment teams and investor relations to deliver seamless, accurate communications with LPs, ensuring alignment on performance and portfolio updates.
  • Continuously refine LP reporting deliverables, including detailed capital account statements, IRR-based performance metrics, and comprehensive fund summary reports.

Required Qualifications

To excel, candidates need 8-10+ years in venture capital, private equity, or asset management accounting, with CPA certification strongly preferred. Mastery of GAAP, ASC 820 valuations, fund accounting software (e.g., Investran, Allvue), and Excel modeling is essential.
