Key Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and motivate a distributed international accounting team, fostering collaboration in a remote-first culture.
• Drive month-end close to a consistent 5-business-day cycle, eliminating bottlenecks and enhancing reporting velocity.
• Own NetSuite as the system expert, leading optimizations, integrations with eCommerce platforms, and custom workflows.
• Design and document robust accounting processes, SOX-compliant internal controls, and scalable policies for global operations.
• Deliver monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and KPIs that empower data-driven leadership decisions.
• Manage high-volume eCommerce accounting complexities including made-to-order inventory, revenue recognition, and multi-currency transactions.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax compliance, and relationships with Big 4 auditors and international tax advisors.
• Execute hands-on controller duties: reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and ad-hoc projects in dynamic settings.
• Partner with operations, sales, and product teams to align financial systems with business evolution.
• Champion financial best practices while maintaining the agility essential for hyper-growth.

Required Qualifications

To succeed, you'll need:

• 8-10+ years in accounting/finance, with 4+ years in controller or equivalent leadership roles at high-growth companies.
• Demonstrated NetSuite proficiency, including implementations, customizations, and eCommerce integrations.
• Expertise in US GAAP, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and international financial reporting.
• Proven success leading remote/international teams in fast-paced tech or eCommerce environments.
• CPA certification strongly preferred; Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance required.
• Technical mastery of Excel, BI tools (Tableau/Power BI), and financial modeling.
• Exceptional communication skills to translate complex financial data into strategic insights.
• Thrives in ambiguity, with a track record of building processes amid rapid scaling.
